Ylioppilaskamerat ry (the Helsinki University Photography club) is once again organizing the traditional Fotomaraton photography competition as a part of Helsinki’s Night of the Arts. Individuals or groups of 2-3 persons may enter the competition to create a set of twelve photographs matching twelve assignments. The assignments will be published in three sets during the evening – subjects 1-4 at 5 pm, 5-8 at 7 pm and finally 9-12 at 9 pm. Participants must submit their entries by 11 pm sharp at the Fotomaraton office (Domus Academica, Hietaniemenkatu 14 A basement). No initial sign-up is required – it is enough to simply show up at the office no later than 11 pm. A surprise prize shall be awarded to the person or the group which manage to take the best photo set.
